Wide throat filler for fast and easy filling with rock drill grease or oil. Capacity 11/2 pints (0.71 litre)
Replaceable pipe bushings preserve the larger threads machined in the malleable steel lubricator body, for longer life of the cast steel body.
One piece rugged malleable steel casting pressure tested to 1200 lbs./sq. inch in an independent lab.
Weighted sipper nozzle rotates around the bore pipe. Nozzle intake is always at maximum depth to empty all of the contents of the lubricator reservoir.
Straight-through bore design allows for maximum air flow with minimum air line pressure drop.
Unique rotating nozzle adjusts from a low flow rate, to a medium flow rate, to a high flow rate of lubricant with a simple twist of the nozzle.
A safety vent hole in the filler cap allows entrapped air to escape when removing the filler cap. This ensures that the lubricator is never opened while the reservoir chamber of the lubricator is pressurized.

It has been proven that lack of lubrication is the leading cause of failures for most machinery !

Air can flow through lubricator in either direction.
Lubricator within 12 feet of equipment air inlet.
Each piece of equipment requires one lubricator.
Fill with oil at shift start, check 1/2 way through or Fill with grease shift start, check next shift start
Always use a recognized brand name oil or grease.
The lubricator needs to be level to drain reservoir.
Set nozzle to receive proper amount of lubrication.
Check drill to be sure it is receiving lubrication.

Joy lubricators were pressure tested to destruction and required internal pressures exceeding 1200 psi before cracks began to appear in castings. Even at extreme pressure the cracks which appear simply release internal pressure without exploding the lubricator. The safety filler cap warns when opening the Lubricator under pressure. The Joy Lubricator has been thoroughly tested and found to be a safe pressure vessel. Recommended for use with quality rock drill oil or triple zero (000) rock drill grease.
